Bursar Financial Agreement Siue
When you enroll in CougarNet for an upcoming semester, you will receive an agreement titled “Student Responsibility for Payment for Educational Services at Southern Illinois University.” Before registering, you must accept this Online Agreement by simply clicking on “I Agree”. This agreement describes in a document everything related to the payment of your training to SIUe. Please read the agreement and contact the Bursar`s Office (bursar@siue.edu or 618-650-3123) if you have any questions. I authorize the university to apply any financial support I receive to all fees charged to my student account at the university, up to a maximum of $200 from a previous academic year. I understand that I may withdraw my consent to use my financial support for (a) fees from a previous school year and/or (b) other education-related expenses, including textbook rentals, parking or library penalties, and late fees. To withdraw my consent, I will complete the Title IV Withdrawal Form payment of the previous year`s assistance and other fees available to www.siue.edu/financial-aid/forms/index-21-22.shtml and submit it to the Student Financial Assistance Office. After withdrawing my consent, I am obliged to use my personal means to pay the previous academic year and other fees for this registration and all future registrations. The University charges a late fee of 1.0%* per invoice based on the minimum amount due; and b. the University will temporarily block my access to enrollment in future courses until the balance of my SIUE student account has been paid in full; and c. the University temporarily withholds the disclosure of my academic records until the balance of my SIUE student account has been paid in full; and d. if I am an employee of SIUE, SIUE may pay this debt by involuntarily withholding funds not exceeding 25% of my disposable income; and e. The University may file an application for the outstanding balance with the State of Illinois pursuant to Section 10.05 of the State Comptroller Act. The Office of the State Comptroller may take steps to recover such debt in accordance with the law of the State; and f. the university may transfer my outstanding debts to an external collection agency for collection in accordance with federal and state law; I agree to reimburse the University for the fees of a collection agency, which may be based on a maximum percentage of 40% added to an outstanding balance or debt. In the event of a transfer of my debts to an external collection agency, I hereby agree to be liable for all collection costs of up to 40% incurred by the University in connection with such collection efforts, including reasonable attorneys` fees, and for any late fees and/or interest of 1.0%* per month or 18.00% per annum; and A block can be placed on a student`s account for many reasons, such as: Valid for enrollment from October 1, 2018, starting with the spring semester 2019. * Update: April 1, 2021 late fees/interest reduced from 1.5% to 1.0%.
